Linssen-Hirdes installatietechniek is an all-round installation company based in North Holland, specializing in personal safety and (silent) evacuation systems.
Speaking is Jan Linssen; “We mainly work for government and healthcare clients. That demands specialization and responsibility – which is exactly why we have been working with IPS for so long. For us, IPS is a true one-stop shop: from expertise to accountability, from sparring partner to supplier, and of course aftercare as well. It’s a small, flexible organization where we know the people personally. Short communication lines, deep knowledge, and a proactive mindset. Questions are addressed quickly, and you have direct contact with a specialist – the manufacturer itself. And just as important: our clients can see that. The hands-on mentality works. We operate in an open culture. Sitting at the table directly with the manufacturer simply leads to faster decision-making compared to processes that run through consulting firms.
Our collaboration with IPS goes back to the days of Philips, Bosch, and Tyco. All that brand knowledge and application expertise now resides within IPS. Their products remain compatible and interchangeable with comparable (older) systems. That sends a strong signal to the market: a focus on manageability, cost-awareness, and above all, the guarantee of reliability and safety. That’s where we show – and must show – our added value every single day.
From our clients, we sense a growing need for new products or expansions of existing systems. Together with IPS, we explore the possibilities. That process is smooth and efficient, leading to the most effective and cost-conscious solutions. Often, IPS is at the table with us when we present these to clients. You can imagine how valuable it is that the new hybrid paging technology can be combined with existing systems. There’s no need for a completely new setup. That’s budget-conscious – and customer-oriented thinking.
Beyond our current market, I see clear opportunities in new sectors as well – especially once Stellar can soon support DECT and Wi-Fi. That will give us the tools to equip both existing and new clients with capabilities that have, frankly, been missing in the market for years.
Price has always been a factor. Personal safety through a control room setup has proven to be a major investment for many organizations. That’s exactly where I see potential. With this simpler system, the investment becomes much more attractive. We would love to have a basic kit of this straightforward setup so we can start experimenting with our clients. I am convinced that if we take a demo version of Stellar to them, we’ll be able to convince them – because it’s the best answer to the critical question of personal safety.
We are heading into an exciting and promising time. With IPS – without a doubt. The new products offer countless opportunities for all involved. Most of all, the innovation directly from the manufacturer, combined with reliability of supply, continuity in service, and repair capability, makes our collaboration a natural choice for us.
Pretty strong story, don’t you think?
